Location of Spring Ranch

Spring Ranch is centrally located just one mile south of the picturesque village of Mendocino.

The house is ideally situated in the middle of Spring Ranch Agricultural Preserve. On the south and east side of the house are organic farms where the Spring brothers grow vegetables, flowers, and pumpkins in the fall. To the north of the house is a grove of the largest eucalyptus trees on the California coast. Many of these giant trees are eight feet in diameter. The scent of eucalyptus permeates the property. To the west of the house is the Spring Ranch Coastal Preserve.

Coastal Access

The Spring Ranch Coastal Preserve is considered the most scenic preserve on the Mendocino coast. The preserve is 300 acres of ocean front property that was part of Spring Ranch. From the house you can walk down to a secluded beach, or along the ocean bluffs. From the bluffs, you can watch seals pupping in the spring, whales migrating in the fall and spring, or 30-foot waves crashing into the headlands during winter storms.
From the house there are unobstructed views across the preserve to the ocean. Enjoy magical sunsets silhouetted by the barns of Spring Ranch. This is one the most picturesque and painted vistas on the northern California coast. Things to do in the region.

State Parks

Just to the south of the house is Van Damme State Park which has great hiking and biking trails, plus a beautiful white-sand beach. Just to the north is the Big River State Park of 7,000 acres. This park is ideal for hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming.
